Islamabad: Finance Minister (FM) Muhammad Aurangzeb has said arrangements for repayment of UAE loans and Eurobonds have been finalized.

In an informal chat with a private TV channel he said there is need to formulate policies in view of tense situation.

He said foreign exchange reserves will be strengthened and will be kept stable and aligned with targets set under the International Monetary Fund (IMF) program .

He held all the commitments of Pakistan on timely payments will be fulfilled. Preparations are being made for commercial financing and launching bonds. Talks are underway with consortium of banks for commercial financing.

We are making preparations again for launching Panda Bonds. Government has plan to issue a total of $1 billion through Panda Bonds.

He held the set financing targets for the current fiscal year will be fulfilled as per commitment.

He stated Pakistan is issuing PANDA bond for the first time , therefore, it is taking time.

The impact of tense situation in the region on national economy is being reviewed.

He further said economic policies hammered out in coordination with IMF put the national economy on right direction.

Key economic decisions and budget preparations will be made in coming days.
