RAWALPINDI: Anti Terrorism Court (ATC) Rawalpindi has rejected Aleema Khan plea for exemption from attendance in the cases and permission to go abroad.

The petition filed by Aleema Khan seeking exemption from attendance in the cases and permission to go abroad came up for hearing before judge Amjid Ali Shah of ATC Rawalpindi Saturday.

Faisal Malik and Ali Bokhari counsels for Aleema Khan gave arguments in the court.

Prosecutor Zahir Shah while giving arguments against the petition prayed the court to reject the petition regarding permission to go abroad.

The prosecutor had taken the plea that fund raising is underway. Aleema Khan has no role therein. Therefore the petition be rejected.

The court had reserved judgment after hearing the case which was later issued.

The court dismissed Aleema Khan plea for exemption from attendance in the cases and permission to go abroad.

It is pertinent to mention here Aleema Khan had filed petition to seek permission to go abroad to participate in fund raising ceremonies of NUML university and Shaukat Khanum hospital.

She had taken the plea Aleema Khan is their chief guest , therefore, permission be given to go abroad for short period.

Talking to media men after hearing of the case, Aleema Khan said she is making rounds of the courts since the last week that permission to go abroad be given to her.

"Why are you fearful of me that you are not allowing me to travel abroad.

She said comparison of my travelling was being made with Ayyan Ali Money Laundering, Khawaja Asif scandal and Ramzan Sugar mills.

My counsels were telling that the accused were granted bail despite these mega scandals. Allegation against me is that I conveyed the message of PTI founder to party workers. Cases have been registered against me merely on the basis of conveying message.

we are standing with our brother. No one can stop us. PTI founder is not alone. Family is standing with him. We will make all efforts for his release from jail. It makes no difference to us who is saying what. We have to give protection to our brother. this is our duty. We will discharge it. We are standing with our brother in this war and crusade.
