Faisalabad: Court has sentenced 10 years in prison each to 59 nominated accused including PTI leaders Omar Ayub, Shibli Faraz and ZartaJ Gill in attack on PML-N leader Rana Sana Ullah home case on May 9.

The AntI Terrorism Court (ATC) Faisalabad has announced decision of the case related to attack on Rana Sana Ullah home on May 9.

ATC awarded punishment of 10 years imprisonment each to Omar Ayub, Shibli Faraz, former federal minister Zartaj Gill , Kanwal Shozab, Sheikh Javed MPA and Ismail Saila .

The court awarded punishment 3 years each to 16 accused persons. 34 accused were acquitted. 75 out of total 109 accused persons were awarded sentence.

Punishment were awarded to all the accused in their absence.

The court acquitted former federal minister Fawad Chaudhry and Zain Qureshi son of Shah Mehmood Qureshi.

It is pertinent to mention here that 4 cases related to vandalizing and siege and arson were registered in Faisalabad on May 9. Decisions of 3 were earlier announced. 4th case in respect of attack on home of Rana Sana Ullah and siege and arson was registered in Saman Abad police station. 109 persons including PTI central leadership was nominated therein.
