Islamabad: Minister for Information and Broadcasting Attaullah Tarar Advocate has lauded the Pakistani media for effectively amplifying the state's narrative and exposing the enemy's false propaganda during the recent conflict with India.

Speaking at a ceremony organized by the Council of Pakistan Newspaper Editors in Islamabad on Friday, Attaullah Tarar said the Ministry of Information had established a modern "Digital War Room," which played a decisive role in the battle of narratives.

The Minister emphasized that the media played a vital role in safeguarding the country's integrity and sovereignty, contributing to the enhanced global respect and dignity of the Pakistani people. He noted that the war was fought collectively by Pakistan's armed forces, the Ministry of Information, and the media.

Attaullah Tarar highlighted that close coordination was maintained with ISPR to implement a unified strategy for global media outreach.

He further recalled that following the shutdown of YouTube channels, the strategic move to air Pakistani advertisements in India placed the enemy in a difficult position.

Highlighting the success of Pakistan armed forces, the Minister said the military leadership, defeated the enemy by implementing the decisions of the National Security Council and the falcons of Pakistan Air Force performed a historic feat during the war. Similarly, Pakistan Navy was ready to repeat the history of Operation Dwarka.

Attaullah Tarar said when the enemy felt that they could not destroy the Karachi port, they spread false propaganda to destroy the imaginary ports of Lahore and Multan.

The Minister said that this war supplemented the honor and prestige of the green passport and the world saw that the entire nation stood united.
