Islamabad:Bahrain's Foreign Minister Dr. Abdullatif Bin Rashid Al Zayani called on Field Marshal Syed Asim Munir, Chief of Army Staff and Chief of Defence Forces, at General Headquarters (GHQ), Rawalpindi.

During the meeting, matters of mutual interest, the regional security situation and bilateral defence and security cooperation were discussed.

Field Marshal Asim Munir underscored the longstanding fraternal relations between Pakistan and Bahrain and reaffirmed Pakistan's commitment to further strengthening bilateral cooperation, particularly in defence and security.

The visiting dignitary appreciated the professionalism and operational preparedness of Pakistan Armed Forces and expressed his resolve to further enhance bilateral cooperation. He also acknowledged Pakistan's contributions towards regional peace and stability.
