Bail of PTI leader Musarrat Jamshed Cheema in 12 May 9 related cases

Lahore: Bail of PTI leader Musarrat Jamshed Cheema has been confirmed in 12 cases related to May 9.

Musarrat Jamshed Cheema appeared in Anti Terrorism Court (ATC) along with lawyers team of Insaf Lawyers Forum.

The court confirmed bail of Musarrat Jamshed Cheema after lawyers arguments.

Talking to media men later Musarrat Jamshed Cheema said ” I refute it strongly what allegation has been leveled by a journalist. I swear that PTI founder has never asked me to contact General (Retd) Faiz Hameed.

What has been said about using name of Azam Swati as code word for making contact with Faiz Hameed or Atta Bandial is only presumption.

The day Imran Khan was arrested he did not ask me to contact Faiz Hameed at all.

She indicated the journalist evolved presumption that PTI founder Imran Khan made me call and asked me to contact Azam Swati. In code word Azam Swati meant Justice (Retd) Bandial or Gen (Retd) Faiz Hameed.

On that day I would have contacted any one with whom Imran Khan asked me to contact be
cause that was most trying time. I was his spokesperson. He trusts me as much as he trusts his sisters.

I did not contact Gen (Retd) Faiz Hameed either before, on or after May 9.

Azam Swati is such a leader of PTI who is trusted. I was asked by Imran Khan to contact Azam Swati but his phone was found switched off . Recordings of all my calls of that day are available. Even our breathes were being recorded. I was trying to contact Azam Swati only for the reason that PTI founder was worried about the security of his wife Bushra Bibi and Zaman Park. All the record of how many times I contacted Imran Khan is available. I was arrested but neither any police or agency officer asked this question from me during my detention.

But the journalist who has leveled this accusation against me, it is my question from him who has told this to him.

We exercised the right of staging peaceful protest on May 9. If some anti social elements were found there in then the matter should be inquired into. Whosoever is found
responsible be punished.
