Rawalpindi: A high-level Bangladesh Air Force delegation, led by Air Chief Marshal Hasan Mahmood Khan, called on Air Chief Marshal Zaheer Ahmed Baber Sidhu, NI (M), HJ, Chief of Air Staff, Pakistan Air Force (PAF) at Air Headquarters, Islamabad.
The meeting focused on strengthening operational cooperation and institutional synergy, emphasizing training, capacity building, and collaboration in aerospace advancements. The visiting Air Chief was accorded a Guard of Honour.
PAF Chief briefed the delegation on recent advancements, reaffirming Pakistan's commitment to support Bangladesh Air Force through comprehensive training-from basic flying to specialized courses-and assured fast-tracked delivery of Super Mushshak trainer aircraft with full training and long-term support.
The Bangladeshi Air Chief praised PAF's combat record and expressed interest in maintenance support for aging aircraft, integration of air defence radar systems, and potential procurement of JF-17 Thunder jets. The delegation also visited key PAF facilities, including the National ISR and Integrated Air Operations Centre, PAF Cyber Command, and the National Aerospace Science and Technology Park, reviewing capabilities in ISR, cyber, space, electronic warfare, and unmanned systems.
The visit highlighted strong historical ties between Pakistan and Bangladesh and reinforced both countries' commitment to deepening defence cooperation and long-term strategic partnership.
