Islamabad: Chairperson Benazir Income Support Programme (BISP) Senator Rubina Khalid and Secretary BISP Amer Ali Ahmad held a meeting with representatives of the World Health Organization (WHO), World Food Programme (WFP), and United Nations Children's Fund (UNICEF) at BISP Headquarters to discuss enhanced collaboration and strategic partnerships for improved support to BISP beneficiaries.

The meeting focused on developing effective and cost-efficient mechanisms, leveraging technology, enhancing transparency, and exploring joint skill development opportunities for BISP beneficiaries and their family members. Discussions also emphasized strengthening reporting, monitoring, feedback systems, and awareness campaigns to better serve beneficiaries while improving visibility of programme achievements.

Chairperson BISP Senator Rubina Khalid highlighted the importance of synergy and coordinated efforts, particularly in health and education initiatives, to maximize impact for vulnerable families. She emphasized that strong partnerships with development organizations can further enhance service delivery and outreach for deserving households.

Participants included Dr. Luo Dapeng, WHO Representative in Pakistan, Mr. Parnell Ironside, UNICEF Representative in Pakistan, and Ms. Lindita Bare, Deputy Country Director, World Food Programme (WFP) Pakistan, along with BISP Director Generals and senior officials.

The representatives of development partners assured their full support and cooperation. They also agreed to submit their proposals soon in this regard to further strengthen collaboration and expand support for BISP beneficiaries.
