Islamabad: Chairperson Rubina Khalid, Benazir Income Support Programme (BISP), along with Secretary BISP, Amer Ali Ahmad, held a meeting with Ayesha Raza Farooq, Coordinator/Focal Person for Polio Eradication, at BISP Headquarters.

The meeting focused on enhancing inter-institutional collaboration by linking BISP's Conditional Cash Transfer Programme, Benazir Nashonuma Programme, with the National Electronic Immunization Registry (NEIR).

The initiative aims to ensure comprehensive immunization coverage for children belonging to BISP beneficiary families across the country.

Chairperson BISP emphasized the critical importance of coordinated efforts and institutional integration, stating that submission of immunization certificates has already been made mandatory for beneficiary registration under BISP.

Both sides agreed on establishing robust data-sharing mechanisms and deliberated on future plans to ensure effective implementation of the initiative. It was further decided that technical teams from both sides will engage in detailed consultations to finalize modalities and develop a structured framework for a sustainable and impactful partnership.
