Islamabad: Muhammad Farooq Rehmani, Chairman JandK People's Freedom League and ex-Convener, All Parties Hurriyat Conference AJandK, while condemning the BJP leader's unhistorical statement on the role of 13 July 1931 freedom fighters -- publicly venturing to distort the most revered and echoing episode of the JandK history has described the campaign of BJP ridiculous and hateful and must not only be denounced by all the patriots of the State of Jammu and Kashmir, ladakh, Gilgit and Baltistan, but the right thinking peoples of the State should raise their voice against the remarks of the ruling party, through different organizations and institutions across board.

In a statement issued on Saturday, Muhammad Farooq Rehmani said, "The BJP the offshoot of the RSS is a racist and fascist organization, whose hands are soaked with blood of the Muslims and other minorities in India. Its bloody rule is bringing communal disharmony and fascism and sowing seeds of hatred and revenge in India and distorting history on communal and religious prejudices to prolong the illegal and forcible occupation of Jammu and Kashmir. The Delhi regime began its false campaign against the Muslims by first making and imposing laws of its own choice and preferences, then changing names of cities and towns and institutions and removing 13 July as a national holiday of Jammu and Kashmir.

Farooq Rehmani said that the regime is also indoctrinating the Muslim students in schools according to its religious mythology to bring a future-religious change in the IIOJandK. Its campaign of distorting the history of the political movement is not different from its deep religious and racial prejudices. Otherwise, the 13 July 1931 massacre by the troops of Maharaja Harising was a result of long repression, depression and political and economic slavery of an overwhelming majority of the Kashmiris. In the aftermath of 1931, many Kashmiri Hindu leaders joined hands with the political movement in 1930s and besides the Indian Muslim leadership, Congress party led by Pt. Jawahar Lal Nehru, lent its political support to the political movement of rights in the State of Jammu and Kashmir. The myopic and racist Hindu element had never any role in the political movements of India and Jammu and Kashmir.

Farooq Rehmani said that the BJP is spearheading Hindutva in Jammu and Kashmir through its colonial settler -policy to change the centuries old demography and culture in IIOJandK. This is the main cause why the majority ruling party National Conference, despite her winning the last elections is only a figure head and before the Lt. Governor, who performs like a British Vice Roy of olden times in India"

Farooq Rehmani urged upon the world community to take note of the unfolding situation in IIOJandK and initiate necessary measures against Indian Hindutva regime's obnoxious steps in the region.
