Islamabad: Local Court of Islamabad has awarded death sentence and life imprisonment to accused in blasphemy case.

District and Sessions Court Islamabad has announced death sentence, life imprisonment and fine to the accused in blasphemy case.

Additional district and sessions judge Muhammad Afzal Majoka has announced decision of the case.

The criminals include Abbas Khan, Shahid Shehzad and Zara Gul.

The criminals were awarded death sentence and fine Rs 5 lac under 295-C.

7 years imprisonment and 1 lac fine was awarded under PECA act. Life imprisonment was awarded under 295-B. 3 years imprisonment and Rs one lac fine was awarded under 298-A.

As per court's decision the accused were involved in spreading blasphemous material through social media platform.

Case was registered against them in FIA under blasphemy and other sections.
