Bushra Bibi Seeks Suspension of 190 Million Pound Case Sentence

Islamabad:The Federal Constitutional Court has fixed for hearing a case related to the bail and sentence suspension plea of former first lady Bushra Bibi in the £190 million case.

A two-member bench comprising Justice Aminuddin Khan and Justice Ali Baqar Najafi will hear the case on October 15.

Bushra Bibi, through her counsel Salman Safdar, had approached the Federal Constitutional Court seeking suspension of her sentence in the £190 million case.

She had also filed an application seeking early hearing, citing recurrence of an eye ailment and inadequate medical facilities in jail.

The application stated that further delay in treatment could pose risks to her remaining eyesight and overall health, while continued incarceration was also affecting her health.

Bushra Bibi is serving a seven-year sentence awarded by an accountability court in January 2025 in the £190 million case.
