Islamabad: Federal cabinet has accorded approval to budget documents for 2026-27 and finance bill.

According to media reports federal cabinet met under Prime Minister (PM) Shehbaz Sharif. Finance Minister Muhammad Aurangzeb gave briefing on budget. The cabinet approved draft of budget for 2026-27.

Different proposals for enhancement in the pay and pension of government employees are under consideration. The salaries of grade 1 to 16 employees will be increased relatively more than employees of grade 17 and above.
