Lahore: General Secretary Jamaat-e-Islami Pakistan, Ameerul Azeem said that the presence of Jamaat-e-Islami in Pakistan's parliament is equivalent to opening the doors for Islam. He emphasized that there is a pressing need to raise the voice for the implementation of Islam in the corridors of power in Islamabad and to lay the foundation for real change.
He was addressing an important event organized by Jamaat-e-Islami Johar Town, Lahore, which was attended by local and central leaders of Jamaat-e-Islami, officials of Alkhidmat Foundation, and a large number of citizens. He further stated that the Muslim Ummah has awakened and a wave of Islamic revival is rising across the world.
He said just as the public places its trust in Alkhidmat Foundation, there is a need to place similar trust in Jamaat-e-Islami so that this country can be transformed into a welfare Islamic state. Ameerul Azeem further stated that Jamaat-e-Islami has been striving for the betterment of the country and the nation since day one, and that an Islamic solution to public issues is the key to a bright future for Pakistan.
The event was also addressed by Emir Jamaat-e-Islami South Lahore, Mirza Abdul Rasheed; Zonal Emir Salman Ayub Malik; General Secretary of Alkhidmat Foundation Pakistan, Syed Waqas Anjum Jafri; Jamaat-e-Islami leader Chaudhry Riaz Farooq Sahi; and President of Alkhidmat Foundation Johar Town, Zafar Iqbal Basra.
