Islamabad: Justice Muhammad Asif of Islamabad High Court (IHC) has reserved judgment after hearing arguments in case against not allowing students to participate in CSS examination in Lahore Centre.
Counsel Munir Ahmad said hundreds of students were deprived of examination in Lahore Centre. State is like mother. This does not happen that state says in press release action will be taken against them.
The court while moving to advocate Riasat Ali Azad said state is like mother. Riasat sahib you should tell about it.
Riasat Ali replied I say state is like father.
The court room burst into laughter on this reply from Riasat Ali.
Assistant Attorney General said the students were asked before to come 50 minutes earlier. They have not come then it is their mistake. High court is not proper forum for them to come direct. Two forums are there before it.
Justice Muhammad Asif remarked had they gone to other forums and then come here then their time would have been wasted. These all are children , Give relief to them. You should show big heart. State is like mother. Give education to the children, Give them facilities.
Counsel Munir Ahmad said 4000 students were to participate in Lahore centre. It was written in federal public service commission press release that they should come 50 minutes earlier. Gate was closed 50 minutes before. Students missed life time chance. Can gate be closed before paper starts.
The court directed counsel for the petitioner to file old judgments so that we could see them.
