Islamabad: Cabinet Economic Coordination (CEC) has been summoned on January 17. Finance Minister (FM) Muhammad Aurangzeb will preside over the meeting. ECC will deliberate over 8-point agenda.
Approval to the expansion in regulatory duty on steel products is likely in the meeting. Approval to technical supplementary grant to ministry of foreign affairs will also come under consideration.
Funds for payment of salary to employees of Pakistan Steel Mills for the year 2024-25 and funds for Frontier Corps for the year 2024-25 are also likely to be approved.
Return of bank guarantee for Afghan Transit trade will also be considered in the meeting.
Approval for grant of Rs 91 crore in respect of ministry of national food security and budget estimate for ministry of overseas Pakistanis for the year 2023-24 is likely in the meeting.
Annual rebasing time line is likely to be reviewed.
