Islamabad: Former Prime Minister (PM) Chaudhry Shujaat Hussain has met former Chief Minister (CM) Punjab Chaudhry Pervaiz Elahi in Lahore. The two agreed to sit together to resolve personal and family matters with mutual understanding and consultation.Later Chaudhry Shujaat met former president Wasim Sajjad, Mushahid Hussain, Muhammad Ali Durrani and members of parliament in Islamabad.Shujaat also condoled with senior journalist Aamir Ilyas Rana on the death of his mother and senior journalist Mohsin Baig on the death of his brother.Former federal minister Chaudhry Wajahat Hussain, federal minister Chaudhry Salik Hussain, PML-Q spokesperson Mustafa Malik were also present on the occasion.During the meetings prevailing political situation in the country was discussed at length.Shujaat said the politicians should shun personal interests and prejudices and give preference to national interests. National leaders should come forward for political and economic stability of the country. Onus lies on membe rs of parliament as well to evolve national agenda to steer out of quagmire of problems.
