Islamabad: Chairman Senate Syed Yousuf Raza Gilani has extended warm congratulations to the Asma Jahangir Group on their victory in the Supreme Court Bar Association (SCBA) elections.

In his congratulatory message, the Chairman conveyed best wishes to Ahsan Bhoon, head of the Independent Group, Haroon-ur-Rashid, newly elected President, Zahid Aslam Awan, Secretary, and other office-bearers. He expressed confidence that the new leadership would continue its dedicated efforts for the welfare, empowerment, and unity of the legal fraternity.

Syed Yousuf Raza Gilani said that Parliament considers the legal community a key partner in national reform and institutional strengthening. He lauded the lawyers' significant role in upholding the rule of law, defending constitutional values, and promoting democracy in Pakistan.

The Chairman Senate expressed hope that President SCBA Haroon-ur-Rashid and his team will further the mission of ensuring constitutional supremacy, judicial independence, and professional well-being within the legal community.
