Islamabad: The Chairman Senate on Monday held a progress review meeting with the Country Director of Save the Children Pakistan to assess ongoing programmes and discuss upcoming initiatives aimed at improving the welfare and well-being of children and vulnerable communities across the country.

During the meeting, the Country Director briefed the Chairman Senate on Save the Children Pakistan's current portfolio, which includes interventions in education, child protection, health and nutrition, humanitarian response and resilience-building. The discussion highlighted progress achieved so far, geographic outreach and the impact of ongoing projects on children and families, particularly in underserved and crisis-affected areas.

The meeting also focused on the organization's upcoming initiatives and strategic priorities, with emphasis on aligning development and humanitarian efforts with national priorities and enhancing collaboration with government institutions to ensure sustainable and inclusive outcomes for children in Pakistan.

The Chairman Senate appreciated the continued contributions of Save the Children Pakistan in promoting children's rights and improving access to essential services. He stressed the importance of coordinated efforts among the government, civil society and development partners to address persistent challenges faced by children, including access to quality education, protection from harm and equitable health services.

Both sides reaffirmed their commitment to continued dialogue and collaboration in support of shared objectives for the welfare and protection of children and vulnerable populations across Pakistan.
