Islamabad: Chairperson Benazir Income Support Programme (BISP) Senator Rubina Khalid on Friday held an 'Khuli Katcheri' at Government Boys Degree College, Nathia Gali, where she listened to the problems of deserving women and directed the relevant staff to resolve them immediately. She emphasized that the financial assistance is the legitimate right of deserving women, and any illegal deductions should be reported immediately, as strict action will be taken. The registration process is completely free through a computerized system; there is no need to fill out any form or pay any fee for this process.
Senator Rubina Khalid further said that beneficiaries should not visit the payment center until they receive the payment collection message from 8171, in order to avoid crowding and inconvenience. She also announced that a dedicated portal will soon be launched to raise awareness among deserving women. She directed the BISP staff to connect successful students from deserving families, who have received educational scholarships, to the Benazir Hunarmand Program so that their families' economic conditions can improve. She also stressed the need to provide priority guidance to beneficiaries in NADRA offices.
During the 'Khuli Katcheri' at Nathia Gali, Chairperson BISP listened to the problems of more than 300 deserving women and provided on-the-spot instructions and guidance to the staff for their immediate resolution. Beneficiaries highlighted difficulties in biometric verification during payment collection and delays in receiving Benazir Taleemi Wazaif and Nashonuma stipends.
The women also demanded that BISP establish a dynamic registration center in Nathia Gali so they would not have to travel long distances for survey registration, thereby reducing travel hardships.
Senator Rubina Khalid assured the women that all their problems and demands would be addressed on a priority basis and that progress in this regard would be made soon.
