Islamabad: Chairperson Benazir Income Support Programme (BISP) Senator Rubina Khalid met with Managing Director of the Overseas Employment Corporation, Naseer Khan Kashani, at BISP Headquarters on Thursday. The meeting aimed to explore avenues for providing skill training and better employment opportunities to deserving individuals under the Benazir Hunar Mand Program, in alignment with international labor market demands.

Chairperson BISP Senator Rubina Khalid emphasized the importance of collaboration among key stakeholders, including BISP, the Ministry of Overseas Pakistanis, and NAVTTC, to enhance economic opportunities for deserving families. She also proposed organizing seminars to facilitate discussions and strategic planning.

During the meeting, the possibility of sending individuals from 5,000 families abroad for employment in the health and home care sectors was considered. Under the proposed plan, BISP will provide data on deserving families, while NAVTTC will be responsible for skill training.

Additionally, discussions covered human resource development, women's economic empowerment, awareness campaigns, data sharing, and digital marketing.

Senator Rubina Khalid highlighted the potential of digital marketing, enabling youth to sell their products online and gain financial independence.

In the next meeting, representatives from BISP, the Ministry of Overseas Pakistanis, and NAVTTC will formulate a final action plan for skill training and overseas employment for the identified individuals.
