Changing election tribunal of Islamabad case: EC seeks reply from respondents, adjourns hearing

Islamabad: Election Commission (EC) while seeking reply from the respondents on changing election tribunal of federal capital has adjourned the hearing till next week.A four members bench under Chief Election Commissioner (CEC) heard the case related to changing election tribunal in federal capital on Tuesday. .The counsels for petitioners appeared in the commission.The counsels for PTI sought time for filing reply.The counsel for PML-N candidate Anjum Aqeel requested the commission they need time for filing reply . Give time for two weeks to us.CEC said they should file reply before next hearing. Two weeks time cannot be given.CEC adjourned the hearing of the case till next Tuesday.It is pertinent to mention all the three MNAs from PML-N in Islamabad had filed petition for changing election tribunal in Islamabad.Shoaib Shaheen, Amir Mughal and Ali Bokhari from PTI had filed application against changing election tribunal.Upon it Election commission had issued notice to the respondents.Election commission had appointed retired judge in election tribunal.Islamabad high court had nullified the order of Election commission for changing Justice Tariq Mehmood Jahangiri and returned the case to election commission.
