Islamabad: Special Assistant to the Prime Minister Haroon Akhtar on Friday said Chinese investors were preparing to sign around 700 additional investment agreements in Pakistan, reflecting growing confidence in the country's economy.
Speaking at an event, he said China has consistently remained at the forefront of investment in Pakistan and that investment agreements worth approximately 500 million dollars have already been concluded between the two countries.
Haroon Akhtar said there remains significant potential for further Chinese investment, adding that Pakistan is rapidly emerging as an important manufacturing hub and attracting increasing interest from international investors.
He said the government's policies were creating new opportunities for industrial development and economic growth, expressing confidence that increased investment would further strengthen Pakistan's economy.
Haroon Akhtar also said the international community acknowledged the role of Pakistan's Field Marshal in promoting global peace, adding that Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif's efforts for international peace had also received global recognition.
