Islamabad: Civil awards for 78 individuals in different categories have been approved in the meeting of special committee on gallantry awards held under interior minister Mohsin Naqvi here.

Civil awards have been approved for martyrs who sacrificed their lives for the country and Ghazis who demonstrated courage and bravery.

The services of the martyrs who sacrificed their lives for country and nation and the individuals who demonstrated outstanding courage were appreciated.

Speaking on the occasion Mohsin Naqvi said encouraging those who have rendered sacrifice of lives for nation and country and those who have demonstrated outstanding courage is national obligation.

The unprecedented sacrifices by martyrs and Ghazis are national asset.

The meeting was attended by state minister for interior Talal Chaudhry , interior secretary, DG FIA , Additional secretary cabinet and respective authorities. The representatives of four provinces attended the meeting through video link.
