Lahore: Chief Justice (CJ) Lahore High Court (LHC) Alia Neelum has taken historical decision to make public daily performance of the judges of subordinate judiciary in Punjab.
The decision has been taken first time in judicial history.
A special soft ware has been developed for this purpose under the order of CJ LHC . It will enable people to see the performance of judges on one click.
Through such steps of CJ LHC Aalia Neelum not only dispensation of timely justice is being ensured but also transparency and accountability is being promoted at administrative level.
Under this decision the daily performance of judges appointed in any district in Punjab will be available at the web site of LHC.
Additional Registrar IT along with his team briefed CJ LHC on new soft ware.
It was told in the briefing these information will be available for the general public through soft ware that how many cases were registered on daily basis. how many cases were wrapped up and how many are pending hearing.
CJ LHC Aalia Neelum while appreciating performance of IT team, said it is right of people to know what the judges are doing . This soft ware will ease the process of holding non performing judges accountable .
