CJP gives reply to letter of Justice Mansoor Ali Shah

Islamabad: Chief Justice of Pakistan (CJP) Qazi Faez Isa has given reply to the letter of most senior judge of Supreme Court (SC) Justice Mansoor Ali Shah.In his letter Justice Mansoor Ali Shah has written all the reasons for not sitting in judges committee.According to sources Justice Mansoor Ali Shah had refused to participate in the meeting of practice and procedure committee.Justice Mansoor Ali Shah had expressed reservations over presidential order by writing letter besides raising question on expulsion of Justice Munib Akhtar from the committee.Sources said CJP Qazi Faez Isa has written reply to the letter of Justice Mansoor Ali Shah.The contents of the reply from CJP have not come to open so far.According to sources CJP have told 11 reasons for not including Justice Munib Akhtar in practice and procedure committee.CJP said in his reply that the attitude of Justice Munib Akhtar with his senior judges was very harsh. This was done Justice Mansoor on your insistence. Legally you cannot r aise question on this thing that CJP should include which judge in the committee. I have always supported accountability and transparency.I am telling you the reasons for not including Justice Munib Akhtar in the committee.The CJP wrote Justice Mansoor legally you cannot ask that I should nominate or otherwise whom as third judge. Otherwise.Qazi Faez Isa wrote in his letter that Justice Munib Akhtar had opposed strongly practice and procedure law. Justice Munib was among those two judges who availed all the summer vacations. Justice Munib was not available for doing court's work during vacations.He insisted on participating in committee's meetings despite being on leave which reflects his mistrust on next senior judge Justice Yahya.
