CJP recuses himself from hearing Bahria Town property auction case

Islamabad: Chief Justice of Pakistan (CJP) Yahya Afridi has recused himself from hearing case related to auction of Bahria Town property.

The court while allowing Bahria Town to give additional reply adjourned the hearing of the case for indefinite period.

A full bench of Supreme Court (SC) presided over by CJP took up for hearing the case pertaining to auction of Bahria Town Wednesday.

The CJP while sending the case to old bench said it will be appropriate old bench hears this case.

The counsel for Bahria Town said detailed decision of Islamabad High Court has come . I will file additional reply on detailed decision on the part of Bahria Town.

The court while allowing to file additional reply adjourned the hearing of the case for indefinite period.
