Peshawar: KP Chief Minister (CM) Sohail Afridi Saturday made telephonic contacts with heads of different political parties with reference to law and order situation in the province and decision was taken to call Jirga comprising heads of all political parties under in-house committee of provincial assembly.
KP CM talked to senator Aimal Wali Khan central president of Awami National Party ( ANP) by telephone. The two exchanged views in details on overall law and order situation in the province.
The CM KP extended invitation to Senator Aimal Wali Khan to participate in All Parties Conference (APC) being held by speaker KP assembly.
Senator Aimal Wali Khan said decision for participating in APC will be taken after consultation with party.
CM KP Sohail Afridi said he has made contacts with other political leaders of the province including Maulana Fazlur Rehman , Siraj ul Haq, Amir Muqam, Aftab Sherpao and Muhammad Ali Shah Bacha. Detailed discussion was made with these leaders on the law and order situation in the province.
He stated there are no two opinions on maintaining law and order situation in the province. Peace and stability is top priority of the government. Difference of opinion is beauty of democracy but peace is joint target of all.
He further said invitation will be given from speaker KP Assembly to all political leaders formally to participate in APC .
He reaffirmed the resolve to ensure durable peace and stability in the province by taking along all parties .
