Lahore: Another honour for Chief Minister Punjab Maryam Nawaz Sharif as the Japanese government has extended her a special invitation to pay an official visit to Japan. Chief Minister Maryam Nawaz Sharif has departed for Japan on a 5-day official visit. Senior officials saw off the Chief Minister and the delegation at the Lahore Airport.

Senior Minister Marriyum Aurangzeb, Minister for Information and Culture Azma Zahid Bokhari, Provincial Ministers Malik Sohaib Bherth, Zeeshan Rafique, Special Assistant to CM Sania Ashiq and other senior government officers are also included in the delegation.

Chief Minister Maryam Nawaz Sharif is the first female Chief Minister to officially visit Japan. She will visit Tokyo, Osaka and Yokohama. She will participate in the World Expo to be held in Osaka. She will also hold meetings with senior officials of the Japanese government. Chief Minister Maryam Nawaz Sharif's visit will also include visits to various Japanese institutions.
