Rani pur: 16 people were killed and several injured after a coach carrying pilgrims to attend Lal Shahbaz Qalandar Urs overturned in Tehsil Rani Saturday.

According to police the accident took place in Tehsil Rani Pur of Khairpur. The accident took place due to over-speeding.

As per report the victims include women and children as well.

Rescue and police reached the scene on information.

Bodies and injured were shifted to hospitals in Gumbat and Rani pur.

The passenger bus was on its way from Lahore to Haroon Abad Sehwan.

The locals rushed to the scene in large number on information and assisted administration.

Chief Minister Sindh Murad Ali Shah has expressed deep grief over Rani pur accident besides directing that the family members of victims be provided every possible support.
