Rawalpindi: Chief of Army Staff (COAS), Field Marshal Syed Asim Munir, NI (M), HJ, presided over the 272nd Corps Commanders' Conference (CCC) held at General Headquarters (GHQ), Rawalpindi.
The forum commenced with Fateha for the martyrs of recent terrorist attacks orchestrated by Indian terror proxies.
The COAS commended the spirit, resolve, and determination of the Pakistan Armed Forces in the ongoing war against foreign-sponsored terror proxies, as well as their extensive participation in relief and rescue operations following recent floods, in coordination with civil administration and law enforcement agencies.
The forum undertook a comprehensive review of ongoing counter-terrorism operations, the emerging threat paradigm, and overall operational readiness. The participants reaffirmed that the Armed Forces remain fully prepared to thwart inimical designs of Pakistan's adversaries across all domains. The conference declared that the existing nexus between terror and crime, supported by vested political patronage and detrimental to national interests, will no longer be tolerated under any circumstances.
The forum expressed grave concern over the recent irresponsible and provocative statements by Indian civil and military leadership, terming them reflective of India's habitual war hysteria for political gain. Participants cautioned that such rhetoric could escalate tensions and jeopardize regional peace and stability.
The conference vowed to counter any Indian aggression with a swift and decisive response, shattering any misconceptions about India's relative security due to geography. It emphasized that any 'imaginary new normal' will be met with a new normal of retributive response.
The forum resolved to pursue comprehensive counterterrorism operations across all domains to dismantle networks of Indian-sponsored terror proxies, including Fitna Al-Khawarij and Fitna Al-Hindustan.
Participants acknowledged the significance of Pakistan's recent high-level diplomatic engagements and reaffirmed the Armed Forces' commitment to global and regional peace. The forum welcomed the Strategic Mutual Defence Agreement between Pakistan and the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, aimed at strengthening strategic ties and enhancing multi-domain cooperation for a joint response to external aggression. The agreement underscores shared values, mutual respect, and a joint vision for peace and stability in the Middle East and South Asia.
Reiterating Pakistan's principled foreign policy stances, the forum reaffirmed unwavering support for the legitimate struggle of the Kashmiri people for their right to self-determination under relevant UN Security Council resolutions. It also reiterated steadfast support for the Palestinian cause, calling for an immediate ceasefire and urgent humanitarian assistance for Gaza. The forum reiterated Pakistan's support for a two-state solution, with an independent Palestinian state based on pre-1967 borders and Al-Quds Al-Sharif as its capital.
In his closing remarks, COAS Field Marshal Syed Asim Munir directed commanders to ensure the highest standards of operational readiness, discipline, physical fitness, innovation, and responsiveness. He expressed full confidence in the Army's preparedness to counter threats across the entire spectrum - from conventional and sub-conventional to hybrid and asymmetric.
