ISLAMABAD: Prime Minister's Coordinator on Climate Change and Environmental Coordination, Romina Khurshid Alam has said comprehensive measures are being taken to prepare for potential floods ahead of the upcoming monsoon season.In a statement on Sunday, she said these proactive efforts aim at minimizing the impact of floods on vulnerable communities.She said in view of safety of affected individuals, relief camps will be established at easily accessible locations to ensure provision of essential amenities including shelter, food, portable drinking water, medical supplies, and animal care.The Prime Minister's coordinator emphasized that the ministry is serving as a collaborative platform for all relevant departments to assess flood vulnerability and develop a unified strategy to mitigate the effects of potential floods on lives and livelihoods, crops and infrastructure.
