Islamabad: Advocate General (AG) Islamabad has assured PTI about permission to hold public meeting on September 08.The contempt of court plea against district administration for suspending NOC regarding public meeting of PTI in Islamabad came up for hearing before Chief Justice (CJ) of Islamabad High Court (IHC) Aamer Farooq Wednesday.Counsel for PTI Shoaib Shaheen said it has happened with us what we feared. Permission was given to us for holding public meeting and then NOC was suspended last day. Administration had given affidavit for allowing PTI to hold public meeting on August 22.AG Islamabad Ayyaz Shaukat said thanks to PTI leadership that they postponed their August 22 public meeting. PTI public meeting will take place on September 8.The CJ IHC Aamer Farooq remarked was the NOC of public meeting suspended due to law and order situation. We are in a state of war at present. What is happening in Balochistan is before all of us. Tell earlier about security concerns that there is life threat to 20000 or 25000 participants of the public meeting. They are not so insensitive that they will put the people to risk. Why the administration tells last day. These people are supporters of one party but first of all they are human being and citizens of Pakistan. People start coming from remote areas and later they come to know public meeting has been suspended. I saw in press that meeting was made early in the morning in Adiala Jail.The court while moving to AG Islamabad inquired the whole Islamabad is shut. There are containers upon containers. What is reason that only Margalla road is open and long queues are there on that road. Chehlum of Muharram ended. Those gathered there in connection with the matter of Khatam e Nabuwat have also gone. Now what has to happen next due to which the public meeting will be postponed. Tell about that too. Will it look good that I issue show cause notice to Commissioner Islamabad. If the public meeting is on September 8 then we are not disposing of this petiti on. We adjourn it till September 10.
