Islamabad: Supreme Court (SC) constitutional bench has sent contempt of court case against PTI founder Imran Khan to regular bench.
A 5-member SC constitutional bench presided over by Justice Amin ud Din heard the case Thursday.
Justice Jamal Khan Mandokhail inquired is this case not of regular bench.
PTI counsel Suleman Akram Raja replied there is no constitutional issue in this case. This be sent to regular bench.
Additional Attorney General (AAG) said the court sent the contempt of court case in reserved seat matter to regular bench. This case be also sent to regular bench.
The court sent the case to regular bench after hearing stance of the respondents.
It is pertinent to mention here decision was taken to initiate contempt of court proceedings on matter of staging Long March against court May 25, 2022 order.
