Islamabad: Islamabad High Court (IHC) has directed jail authorities to get sign power of attorney from Imran Khan and present it in the court in contempt of court case.

Justice Inam Amin Minhas remarked you should give power of attorney today to them and they will return them to court tomorrow (Wednesday) . We will issue detailed order. Jail authorities should file report in the court.

He gave these remarks during hearing of contempt of court plea filed by counsel Shoaib Shaheen on the matter of not arranging meeting with Imran Khan and power of attorney.

The petitioner lawyer Shoaib Shaheen appeared in the court in person. The representative of Adiala jail also appeared on being summoned by the court.

Justice Inam Amin Minhas inquired their power of attorneys are lying since when.

The representative of jail told the court their no power of attorney is lying with us.

Advocate Shoaib Shaheen said call of jail superintendent had come that previous power of attorneys are not in his knowledge. Just give them now and he will get sign them .

He said just we give power of attorney to them now and they should get sign them and return to us.

He said he gave power of attorney in the office of jail superintendent after getting them signed and waited for one and half hour but these were not returned. Later he made many rounds and made contacts but power of attorney were not returned.

Shoaib Shaheen advocate said there are more than 200 cases. If there are no power of attorney then we will do what.
