Contempt of court petition filed by chief of Sunni Tehreek for not arranging meeting with PTI founder

Islamabad: Another contempt of court petition has been filed in Islamabad High Court (IHC) against interior secretary, home secretary and superintendent Adiala Jail for not arranging meeting with PTI founder despite court's orders.

Chief of Sunni Tehreek Sahibzada Hamid Raza has filed petition through his counsel Khalid Yousuf Chaudhry.

The petition said court allowed twice to hold meeting with PTI founder and for the third time larger bench issued order.

The petitioner took the plea in the petition meeting is not being arranged with PTI founder despite court's orders. Non arranging meeting is tantamount to committing contempt of court's orders.

The petitioner has requested the court contempt of court proceedings be initiated against the respondents.
