Contempt of court plea filed in IHC for not arranging meeting of his lawyers with Imran Khan in Adiala jail

Islamabad: Contempt of court plea has been filed in Islamabad High Court (IHC) for not arranging meeting of his lawyers with PTI founder Imran Khan in Adiala jail.Intezar Panjutha counsel for PTI founder has filed petition in the court making interior secretary and superintendent Adiala jail respondents.It has been said in the petition that IHC ordered for arranging of meeting of his lawyers with PTI founder twice in a week. Today the list of the lawyers in connection with meeting with Imran Khan was sent to jail authorities as per agreed SOPs.Jail authorities informed that meeting of lawyers with Imran Khan will not be arranged.The petition said conduct of respondents is violation of court's orders. Contempt of court proceedings be initiated.It is pertinent to mention here that jail administration had imposed restrictions on meetings with Imran Khan and others due to security threats.
