Islamabad: Counsel for Imran Khan has requested Islamabad High Court (IHC) to stop trial court from announcing decision of Toshakhana-2 case.

Justice Raja Inam Amin Minhas took up acquittal pleas of Imran Khan and Bushra Bibi in Toshakhana-2 case for hearing Tuesday.

As per media reports Counsel Barrister Suleman Safdar gave the arguments during the hearing of the case.

Suleman Safdar said Toshakhana-2 case is in final stage. We had filed acquittal plea in the last year. Inam Ullah Shah and Sohaib Abbasi are accused as well as witnesses in the case.

Suleman Safdar said my client is awarded punishment in Toshakhana-1 case along with Cipher case. The judge who awards punishment does not give opportunity to record statement of 342. The day this charge was framed the second charge was lying before him.

Justice Inam Minhas inquired is there misuse of powers in the case.

Barrister Suleman Safdar while giving reference to the decision of bail from Mian Gulhassan Aurangzeb said the entire matter is written therein.

Justice Miangul Hassan Aurangzeb had granted bail to both of the accused.

The counsel for PTI founder while requesting the court to stop trial court from announcing the decision of Toshakhana-2 case said Judge Sahb be stopped from announcing final decision of the court.

Questionnaires have come for recording the statement as accused. Replies have been sought tomorrow. Perhaps punishment is awarded tomorrow. If you don't grant stay then there is no use of my arguments.

Justice Inam Minhas remarked I give notice in this case.

The court while adjourning the hearing of the case said next date of hearing will be told later.
