Lahore: Shutter down strike has been observed all over the country on the call of Jamaat-e-Islami (JI) to express solidarity with people of Palestine.
The business centers in different cities of the remained completely closed.
In Lahore, Badami Bagh auto market is completely closed while all car dealers markets in the provincial capital are shut.
Business activities in Urdu Bazar, Mall road, inner city and other markets are suspended.
Anar Kali, adjacent markets, Shah Alam market, Brandarth road, Hall road and allied markets are closed. Readymade garments, solar market and central grain market is completely shut.
In Peshawar business activities in Kissa Khawani, Khyber Bazaar, Peepal mandi, Hasht Nagri and other business hubs are suspended.
A protest camp will be set up by Tanzeem Tajran in Rampura gate.
Shops are closed in Raja Bazar, Murree road, Sadar and commercial market. Traffic is next to nil on the roads. Druggist and Chemist association is also observing strike.
All small and major business centers have also responded enthusiastically to the call of JI for strike. in Pakpattan and adjoining areas.
Queen of hills Murree is expressing solidarity with people of Ghazza by observing vigorous strike. All the business centers including Mall road, Cantt market, Bhorban Market, Aliot and Phagwari have joined call of JI by observing shutter down strike.
Roads are depicting deserting look with traffic being seen nowhere.
Major business centers of Quetta have reciprocated JI call for shutter down strike . Strike too is underway in Mastung, Kalat, Khazdar, Pasheen and other areas of Balochistan .
Dharna is being staged on Korangi crossing road in support of Palestinians by a political party.
