Lahore: Anti Corruption Court (ACC) Lahore has accepted one day exemption from attendance plea of Chaudhry Pervaiz Elahi former Chief Minister (CM) Punjab in the case pertaining to alleged illegal appointments in Punjab Assembly.

Judge Javed Iqbal Warraich of ACC took up for hearing the case against Pervaiz Elahi, Muhammad Khan Bhatti and others Wednesday.

Former principal secretary Punjab Assembly Muhammad Khan Bhatti and other accused persons appeared in the court and got completed their attendance.

During the hearing of the case, one day exemption plea was filed in respect of Pervaiz Elahi which was accepted by the court.

Counsel for co-accused Mukhtar Ranjha completed arguments on acquittal plea.

The court summoned other accused persons on next hearing for arguments on acquittal pleas.

It is pertinent to mention here accused Ejaz, Zohaib ul Hassan, Haider Shafqat and Mukhtar Ranjha have filed acquittal pleas.

Prosecution told that the court had declared 3 accused persons including Inayat Ullah Luk and Roy Mumtaz proclaimed offenders.

The court while seeking record of the proclaimed offenders from prosecution on next hearing adjourned the hearing of the case till November 6.
