Rawalpindi: Special Central Judge Central Shahrukh Arjumand has adjourned till January 6 hearing of Toshakhana-2 case on matter of acquiring Bulgari company precious jewelry by PTI founder and his wife Bushra Bibi.
The court has adjourned the hearing of the case due to non presence of Bushra Bibi.
The court has made it clear that it will take adverse action if cross questioning of witness is not completed on next hearing
The counsels for the accused persons was to complete cross examination of FIA witness section officer from cabinet division on Thursday.
Counsel for FIA Zulfiqar Abbas Naqvi was also present in the court.
However Arshid Tarbez counsel for Bushra Bibi while filing exemption plea told the court Bushra Bibi could not appear being unwell. Therefore, the hearing be adjourned.
The counsel for FIA raised objection upon it.
The court however adjourning the hearing of the case till January 6 gave last chance fro cross questioning the witness.
It is pertinent to mention here it is alleged in Toshakhana case that former chairman PTI and his wife Bushra Bibi had acquired Bulgari company jewelry from Toshakhana at low price against the law. They sold out this jewelry in the market. The cost of jewelry set was Rs 7.55 crore which included precious necklace and other jewelry. .
NAB had arrested both of the accused on July 13 last year in Toshakhana case.
The court had approved first physical remand of the accused on July 14 besides directing NAB to conduct investigation in jail.
This case was shifted to FIA following NAB amendment.
