Court allows Sheikh Rashid to go to Saudi Arabia for performance of Umrah

Rawalpindi: Justice Sadaqat Ali Khan of Lahore High Court (LHC) Rawalpindi while accepting the petition of former federal minister Sheikh Rashid petition seeking permission to leave for Hijaz-e-Muqaddas to perform Umrah has allowed him to go to Saudi Arabia to perform Umrah.The court maintained as the name of the petitioner has already been removed from ECL, therefore, Sheikh Rashid can go to Saudi Arabia for performance of Umrah.Additional Attorney General (AAG) Haseeb Shakoor Paracha and Deputy Attorney General (DAG) Kanzul Sadat represented federation.Director Immigration and Passport Fawad Anwar Bhatti, FIA Assistant Director Headquarter Shaukat Ali and Assistant Director Passport Muhammad Javed were also present on the occasion.During the hearing of the case, interior ministry and FIA presented report in the court that government has no objection despite the order of Anti Terrorism Court.The court allowed the petitioner to go to Saudi Arabia for performance of Umrah.
