Rawalpindi: Justice Mirza Waqas Rauf of Lahore High Court Rawalpindi bench has remarked during hearing of petition against detention of deputy superintendent Adiala jail Rawalpindi the petitioner has no authentic information and the court cannot issue directives to any one on the basis of assumptions.He further remarked "The case has been registered and there is no such thing therein. Tell the court Muhammad Akram is in whose custody.The court while declaring reply of CPO Rawalpindi unsatisfactory summoned him again on August 29.The petitioner along with her son and counsel Imaan Mazaari was present in the court during hearing of case Tuesday.The counsel for the petitioner told the court deputy superintendent is missing since August 14 and police and any other institution is not providing any information of any sort. We suspect Muhammad Akram is in the custody of intelligence agencies.The court inquired Muhammad Akram is in the custody of which agency so that the court may issue directive to som e one because we can issue no directives on the basis of assumptions.The court further remarked you have no authentic information. Case has been registered and there is no such thing therein. Tell the court Muhammad Akram is under whose custody.The counsel for petitioner told the court FIR has been registered after hearing of our petition.The counsel took the plea the petition is maintainable.Report regarding deputy superintendent was filed by ministry of defence taking the plea Muhammad Akram is not in the custody of any subordinate institution of ministry of defence. Information was obtained from intelligence agencies about Muhammad Akram, therefore. petition regarding Muhammad Akram be disposed of to the extent of ministry of defence.Assistant Advocate General filed reply from CPO Rawalpindi.The reply said CPO Rawalpindi has sent letters to different institutions and police of all the four provinces has sought details about missing Muhammad Akram. Efforts are underway in regard to missing Muhammad Akram..The court declaring the reply of CPO Rawalpindi unsatisfactory remarked it is a serious matter. Jail administration does not know so far their officer disappeared from jail how. It means prisoners and staff are not safe in jail.The court inquired where has writ of state gone. if any one discharges one's obligation then there can be no worry.The court remarked jail is sensitive place. Officer of jail is disappeared. It is job of police to search him.The court summoned CPO once again on August 29.Further hearing of the petition will take place on August 29.
