Court declares unsatisfactory reply filed by PTA in case seeking closure of X account of Imran Khan

Islamabad: PTA has filed its reply in the case seeking closure of X account of Imran Khan in Islamabad High Court (IHC). The court while declaring the reply unsatisfactory remarked " see it what is writ petition and what is your reply. Justice Arbab Muhammad Tahir will hear the case.

On previous hearing the learned judge had remarked if meeting is arranged then the case can move ahead. Proper orders will be issued in this regard.

He gave these remarks during the hearing of the case Thursday.

During the hearing of the case Suleman Akram Raja told the court he could not hold meeting for consultation with PTI founder.

The court remarked if meeting is held then final arguments will be heard on February 24.

The court also directed to file detailed reply to contempt of court plea on not arranging meeting with PTI founder besides seeking written reply from Advocate General Islamabad office.

The state counsel told the court a larger bench is seeing the cases related to meetings. Case cannot go ahead unless meeting takes place.

Suleman Akram, Raja told the court he was not allowed to meet PTI founder following the filing of the case. Order was issued for meeting on November 4. But it was not implemented.

He requested the court to issue proper order for meeting in jail.

Hearing of the case was adjourned till February 24.
