Court extends bail before arrest of Umar Ayoub for one week in 3 cases

Rawalpindi: Judge Amjid Ali Shah of Anti Terrorism Court (ATC) Rawalpindi No 1 has extended bail before arrest for one week in respect of opposition leader Umar Ayoub in 3 cases registered against him in Attock.The court while issuing notice to the accused persons on the application from prosecution seeking cancellation of bail of 23 PTI leaders and workers including Chief Minister (CM) KP Ali Amin Gandapur has adjourned the hearing till Thursday.Umar Ayoub appeared in the court. Following signing of the roll by Umar Ayoub the hearing of case was adjourned till December 24.Umar Ayoub has filed bail before arrest plea in three cases registered in Attock with reference to November 26.Special public prosecutor Zahir Shah has filed application in the court along with list of 23 accused persons.The court was requested through this application that these accused are causing delay without any justification in May 9 cases including GHQ attack case through deliberate absence . The trial of cases is getting delayed due to it. The accused are misusing bail before arrest. They are not appearing in the courts after seeking bail. Therefore, court should cancel the bail of all these accused persons.The list given to court for revocation of bail contains name of 23 accused persons including Chief Minister KP Ali Amin Gandapur, Shibli Faraz, Zain Qureshi, Umar Tanvir Butt, Rashid Hafeez, Tahir Sadiq, Latasab Satti and Fahd Masood.Talking to media men outside the court after hearing of the case PTI leader Umar Ayoub said neither any talks are being held with the government nor has any contact been made. The talks will take place only when these people become serious.
