Islamabad: Giving time to federal government till August 6 in connection with non appointment of permanent Indus Water Commissioner Justice Arbab has directed Assistant Attorney General (AAG) to assist court fully on next hearing.
Bring directives from the government that as to why so much delay has been made in the appointment of Indus Water Commission Commissioner so far and what is government stance on it, Justice Arbab remarked.
During the hearing on Tuesday counsel Azhar Siddique took the plea the entire work of Indus Water Commission has stopped due to non appointment of commissioner.
He further said the court had given opportunity till previous hearing that reply from government be obtained and presented which has not been presented so far.
The court directed Assistant Attorney General he should tell clearly till August 6 from government side that what has been done so far in this regard.
The court adjourned the hearing of the case till August 6.
