Court issues arrest warrants of over 150 accused due to persistent absence in 3 cases of November 26 violent protest

Rawalpindi: Anti Terrorism Court (ATC) Rawalpindi has issued arrest warrants of over 150 PTI accused persons in 3 different cases related to November 26 violent protest due to their persistent absence despite being summoned by the court.

No accused appeared despite summoning by the court.

The court while expressing annoyance over non appearance of the accused adjourned hearing of police station Sadiq Abad case till July 28, case of police station Wah Cantt till July 30 and hearing of the case of police station Nasir Abad till August 01.

Prosecutor requested the court to cancel bail of the accused due to non appearance by them in the court.

Prosecutor took the plea the accused are influencing the hearing of cases by not appearing in the court deliberately.

Upon it court issued bailable arrest warrants and last warning in respect of more than 150 accused .

Former president Arif Alvi, KP Chief Minister Ali Amin Gandapur, opposition leader in national assembly Omar Ayub, Asad Qaisar, Bushra Bibi wife of former chairman PTI, Aleema Khan sister of PTI founder, Azam Swati, Faisal Amin, Wahab Alvi, Hammad Azhar, Shahid Khattak, Khalid Khurshid, Shahid Riaz and others are accused in the cases.
