Karachi: Additional District and Sessions judge Karachi South has issued bailable arrest warrants of Jahangir Siddiqui in the light of high court decision.The warrants have been issued following the rejection of criminal review petition of Jahangir Siddiqui No 2015/68 by high court.This case has come to being due to filing of a private complaint by Aqeel Karim Dheedhi wherein charges of defamation and targeted media campaign have been leveled.Bailable arrest warrants were issued by additional district and sessions judge Karachi South Syed Waqar Haider . Jahangir Siddiqui was ordered to appear in court on November 22, 2024.It has been said in the arrest warrants that Siddiqui has been indicted under section 499, 500, 501 and 120 A.Pakistan Penal Code court has directed Siddiqui to file surety bonds worth Rs 1 lac.Surety bonds of Rs 50000 will have to be deposited to keep release secure on compliance.
