Rawalpindi: Lahore High Court (LHC) Rawalpindi bench has nullified the sentence of a woman convicted in drug trafficking case and ordered to acquit her. Police station Sadiq Abad had registered case against one Fouzia Ali on November 24 last year under anti narcotics act-1997.
Charge of recovery of 1200 grams heroine from the accused was leveled against her.
Additional District and Sessions judge Rawalpindi had awarded 10 years imprisonment to the accused on completion of trial.
The accused had challenged the decision of subordinate court in high court through counsel Wahid Naz Janjua adcovate.
The court while agreeing with the arguments of the counsel of the accused nullified the decision of subordinate court and ordered to acquit her.
