Bahawalpur: Lahore High Court (LHC) Bahawal pur bench has ordered to initiate proceedings against 5 Nikah registrars for solemnizing nikah without verifying age of bride and bride groom, child marriage and not filling complete columns of Nikah form.Senior judge justice Anwar ul Haq Punnu took up for hearing petitions with reference to child marriage and recovery of girls in LHC Bahawalpur bench.The court has ordered deputy directors local government of respective districts to initiate proceedings under child marriage restraint act-1929 against Abdul Qayyum nikah registrar of Arif Wala district Pakpattan for solemnizing nikah of Saadia Noor 14, against Qazi Shahid Kalachi of village Sukhail union council No 46 Bahawalpur for solemnizing nikkah of Aamna Bibi 11, against Qazi Malik Muhammad Ramzan of Ali Pur district Muzaffargarh for solemnizing nikah of Mehvish Bibi 13, against nikah khawan of Ahmad Pur Sharqia for registering nikah of Momil Fida 13 and against Qazi Ghulam Murtaza of Ahmad Pur Sharq ia for not writing complete columns of nikah nama.
